I have spent the last decade in public-company finance — the first two years supporting the audit, the rest in the filing seat: controllership, SEC reporting, and the technical accounting that has to be right the first time. Along the way I helped raise and structure $50M+ in registered offerings and private placements, and went through every audit-committee cycle with zero restatements, zero late filings, and zero audit qualifications.

I started Unfolding Values because founders and CFOs kept calling for exactly what I do every day — just not full-time, and not at Big 4 rates. The work that keeps a small public company compliant and credible doesn't need a bench of juniors learning on your dime. It needs one person who has done it, in the seat, under a real filing calendar.

Why a phoenix

For the operator who has everything to fly — and is held down by the filings.

Most of the companies I work with already have the product, the market, and the grit. What pins them down is compliance and technical accounting — a late 10-K, a comment letter, a going-concern footnote, a control that won't remediate. Document intake

Every source listed, dated, and reconciled to scope before any work starts. You sign off on the manifest. No "we'll find it later."

Gate 02

Source reconciliation

One document at a time, every extract traced back to source. Any difference over a dollar is investigated, not waved through.

Gate 03

Independent cross-check

Formulas only, no hardcodes. Every total verified by a second, separate method before a number leaves the room.

Gate 04

Deliverable review

One latest version exists. Workbook, memo, board doc, and email all agree. You approve before anything ships.
